Discover giving opportunities and find out how you can uplift the lāhui by investing in scholarships for haumāna and KS programs and initiatives.
The Pauahi Foundation (PF) is the fundraising arm of Kamehameha Schools (KS) that supports Native Hawaiian students through PF scholarships and KS programs and initiatives, which provide pathways for Hawaiian learners to lead.
We provide students with access to need- and merit-based scholarships to help eliminate some of the financial barriers associated with attending college, locally and on the continent. By 2040, the total Native Hawaiian population is projected to increase to 240,000, and KS currently serves 37% of the 136,000 Native Hawaiians ages 0-24 in Hawai‘i. We are building a network of donors to serve more Native Hawaiians and create a community and culture of giving within the KS ‘ohana.
Only one in five Native Hawaiian students complete their post-secondary education. This year, we awarded 440 scholarships to 279 recipients, and the need for additional support still exists. Your gift and partnership helps to close this gap.

As a revolving scholarship fund, the Mānowai Scholarship is the Pauahi Foundation’s newest scholarship program supporting Native Hawaiian haumāna in their post-secondary endeavors. Mānowai provides immediate support by increasing the availability of scholarships as gifts of $1,000 are awarded to a student in the following academic year.
The Pauahi Foundation offers multiple Kamehameha Schools program support options. Your gift(s) can be applied to an array of crucial KS programs and initiatives in multiple areas including Excellence in Education (Pre-K-through-12), Mālama ‘Āina, College and Career, and Kamehameha Schools Programs and Initiatives.
