Aloha mai! I am extremely grateful for your generosity. I am a first-generation college student, and the first in my immediate family to enter into a graduate program. Through the guidance of my parents and Kamehameha Schools, I have learned to value my education. This gift will also allow me to focus my energy towards my schooling. Ideally, I'd like to either work for or create a grant-funded program to serve Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander students who are pursuing a post-secondary education. Upon graduating, I am hopeful that I will be able to move home to Kauaʻi and serve the community that raised me. Mahalo for your kindness.
