On behalf of my parents and I, mahalo nui to the donors of the DeWitt Wallace Scholarship for investing in my future! With the ever-increasing price of college, this money will go a long way in lifting the financial burden of funding my post-secondary education and inch me closer to achieving my dreams. I hope to attend law school after graduating from college, before eventually coming home to serve as a public interest lawyer. I also hope to run for office to tackle the many political issues impacting the lāhui – from the overrepresentation of Native Hawaiians in our criminal justice system to investing in a regenerative tourism model for Hawaiʻi. Again, mahalo nui!
