Through your scholarship, you are helping me to further my education and become a strong ʻōiwi leader as someone who can go back into the lāhui to make a difference for the people of Hawaiʻi. Post-college, I hope to return to Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi as a kumu teaching Hawaiian studies, māla or hula. In the long term, I hope to make my way through KS as poʻo kumu, poʻo kula, or even as far as becoming a trustee of Kamehameha Schools.
