Aloha mai kākou,
As I come to the end of my time at the Pauahi Foundation, I leave you all with a simple parting message, mahalo nui loa.
Mahalo to the Kamehameha Schools ‘ohana for welcoming me into the extended family made up of alumni, staff and faculty, students, parents and friends. I especially want to mahalo the Pauahi Foundation staff for their dedication to our mission and commitment to uplifting our Lāhui.
To our donors and supporters, both recent and long-standing, mahalo palena ole! It is through your collective effort that we are able to change lives in our Hawaiian community. Your gifts to the Foundation gives Hawaiian learners access to the greatest equalizer in life—an education.
Finally, mahalo to Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop for her extraordinary foresight and genuine love for her people. She founded a legacy that has helped many Hawaiians in their quest for better and enriching lives. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of ensuring her legacy continues into perpetuity.
A hui hou,
