Translation -- Glowing Waikīkī, a reference to being vivacious, glowing with health, vibrant; also refers to torch fishing, a common site in the Waikīkī of yesteryear, or the glittering lights of the Waikīkī of today. In Hawaiian, light also refers to knowledge, education and enlightenment; the light guiding the way represents leadership and vision.
