The Charles Cockett `ohana established this scholarship to recognize student(s) who are majoring in Hawaiian Studies, Culture, Language and/or Education and are enrolled full-time or half-time.
 

Charles S. Iwata, Jr. Memorial Annual Scholarship

Charles S. Iwata, Jr., is a graduate of the Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus Class of 1980. He was dedicated to all things Hawaiian-the language, the culture and his love and respect for our kupuna. This scholarship will allow students pursuing a Bachelors degree in Hawaiian Studies or Hawaiian Language to further perpetuate our Hawaiian culture.

This scholarship honors Homer and Thelma Burge, the parents of Ray ('62), David ('63), Jane & Judy ('65), and Bonnie Gail ('74) for making the education of their children a top priority in their lives.
