Tesoro Corporation Scholarship

This scholarship will be available statewide to public high school graduates (including charter schools) who are interested in starting a career in a trade industry including electricians, welders, machinists, pipeline inspectors to support the process technology industry in Hawai'i. Students must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a two year or less licensed and certified vocational or technical educational program in Hawai'i. Students also must demonstrate an interest in the Hawaiian language, culture, and history in addition to a GPA of 2.0.

Requirements:

  1. College Acceptance Letter (if you are attending a college or university for the first time or currently enrolled college student changing schools or degree programs)
  2. Official Transcript of Grades
  3. Student Aid Report (SAR)
  4. Minimum GPA 2.0
  5. Hawai`i public high school graduate (including Charter Schools)
  6. Career in the trade industry including electricians, welders, machinist, pipeline inspector
  7. Attend a two-year or less licensed and certified vocational or technical educational program in Hawai`i 

Additional items required:
• Submit a one-page essay documenting how the Hawaiian culture has prepared you for the workforce.
