Tesoro Corporation Scholarship
This scholarship will be available statewide to public high school graduates (including charter schools) who are interested in starting a career in a trade industry including electricians, welders, machinists, pipeline inspectors to support the process technology industry in Hawai'i. Students must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a two year or less licensed and certified vocational or technical educational program in Hawai'i. Students also must demonstrate an interest in the Hawaiian language, culture, and history in addition to a GPA of 2.0.
Requirements:
- College Acceptance Letter (if you are attending a college or university for the first time or currently enrolled college student changing schools or degree programs)
- Official Transcript of Grades
- Student Aid Report (SAR)
- Minimum GPA 2.0
- Hawai`i public high school graduate (including Charter Schools)
- Career in the trade industry including electricians, welders, machinist, pipeline inspector
- Attend a two-year or less licensed and certified vocational or technical educational program in Hawai`i
Additional items required:
• Submit a one-page essay documenting how the Hawaiian culture has prepared you for the workforce.
