Johnny Pineapple Scholarship

In recognition of David Kaonohi, a talented musician who performed many years under the stage name of Johnny Pineapple. This scholarship is for
full-time students pursuing a degree in Hawaiian Language or Hawaiian studies at an accredited institution of higher learning with GPA of 3.5 or above.

Requirements:

  1. College Acceptance Letter (if you are attending a college or university for the first time or currently enrolled college student changing schools or degree programs)
  2. Official Transcript of Grades
  3. Student Aid Report (SAR)
  4. Minimum GPA 3.5
  5. Major in Hawaiian Language or Hawaiian Studies

Additional items required:
• Two letters of recommendation from your school, community organization or religious leaders;
• Essay describing involvement in community service including organizations, number of hours/length of volunteer service and how applicant intends to continue to benefit the Hawaiian community.
