Lori, a graduate of Moanalua High School ('86) has made a choice to return to school to further her education to advance her career in Early Childhood Education through pursuing a degree at Chaminade University. At times it can be challenging to hold down a full time job and raising two children while going back to school.

Mathew Ortiz moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Kamehameha Schools in 2002 to attend Loyola Marymount University. Feeling the need as an artist to be "knee deep in the lo'i of culture," he returned home in 2004 to complete his Bachelor of Fine Arts at UH Manoa.

Heidi Aceret '90 is a mother of three very active children and works full time for the Department of Education on Kaua'i. The first person in her family to pursue a graduate degree, she realized that she loves to learn and is a lifelong learner while taking her first graduate courses with the University of Phoenix after earning her Bachelors from BYU in 1995.
