Celebrate Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser at Royal Hawaiian Center

WHEN: Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

 

DETAILS: Join the festivities and celebrate Mexican culture with Cinco De Mayo at the Royal Grove. Quench your thirst with $5 beers and margaritas, or satisfy your appetite with $5 chips and salsa, two-for-$5 tacos, and more from Señor Frog’s Honolulu Restaurant & Bar. There will be lots of great music, Mexican contests, prizes and entertainment. DJ “Chuck” will emcee while Corey “The Balloon Guy” and “Froggy” the Frog add to the festivities. The cover charge will be $5 with a portion of the proceeds going to the Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Foundation. Guests who attend will also receive a $5 discount to attend the Señor Frog’s Cinco De Mayo after-party.

Cinco De Mayo is the day of Mexican victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. This holiday is widely celebrated throughout America as a symbol of Mexican heritage and pride.

Special event parking validation rates are available at $5 for 5 hours. Royal Hawaiian Center has the largest garage in the heart of Waikīkī with 10 levels of parking and more than 600 stalls located adjacent to the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The Center’s free parking promotion offers 3 hours of free parking with any restaurant validation and 2 hours free parking with any food court validation. Dining and entertainment validations can be combined with retail validations of $2 for 2 hours. No minimum purchase is required for validation.
