2010 Alumni Week Celebration: Golf Tournament and Lü`au

The annual Kamehameha Schools Alumni Golf Tournament, hosted for the first time with Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation, was held at Hickam Air Force Base’s stunning Mamala Bay Golf Course.  Over 220 golfers ranging from classes in the 1950’s to 2000’s joined the festivities and raised funds to establish the Nā Koa Ho`oulu Scholarship intended for students pursuing careers in the US Armed Forces, law enforcement and emergency medical response.  Event proceeds totaled $20,144 and the scholarship will be awarded for the first time during the 2011 scholarship application season.

Alumni week celebrations continued as the Class of '81 hosted this year’s lū`au.  A portion of the event’s proceeds totaling $7,500 was earmarked to support Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation programs.  “It’s the start of even more collaborative efforts with our alumni, friends and community supporters,” said Kalei Stern, Executive Director. “By participating in activities like the golf tournament and lū`au, you help continue our rich tradition of fellowship and philanthropy.”
