Tribute Gifts
Tribute gifts are made in honor or in memory of individuals or organizations that have inspired you in some way or to honor someone who has touched your heart.

Wills & Bequests
Wills and bequests allow donors to leave a legacy to ensure the Foundation’s ability to continue to provide opportunities for educational endeavors. You can leave fixed dollar amounts or percentages of your estate to the Foundation; or you may choose to leave securities, real estate or personal property via your will.

Deferred or Planned Giving
Planned gifts are usually deferred, meaning they are arranged and fulfilled at a later time. Planned charitable gifts are usually estate assets that require consideration and planning in light of your overall estate plan. The Foundation recommends that donors consult with their professional advisor. Planned gifts usually include legal documents requiring the assistance of a qualified professional to complete.

Life Insurance
Donors may wish to make a pledge to the Foundation by purchasing a new whole life insurance policy or consider transferring ownership of existing policies and naming Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Foundation as the owner and beneficiary. The annual premiums paid would be a charitable income tax deduction.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Corporations will often match an employee’s charitable gift dollar for dollar. Please check with your employer to see if your contribution qualifies for this category.

Unrestricted Donations
Unrestricted gifts allow the Foundation the flexibility to respond to the areas of most critical need. These outright gifts include cash, appreciated property (real estate, stock) or tangible personal property.

Restricted Donations
Restricted gifts define a program, project or scholarship of special interest to the donor. In many instances, these gifts are named to honor or memorialize a special family member, friend or colleague. This is a meaningful way to keep names of loved ones in perpetuity. Currently, the Foundation manages endowments for the following types of scholarships:
